Poem Three: Gregor's Song

Bringing great gifts by your courage and grace
To Turand you came as guide and as spirit.
In all who received those gifts from your heart
Linger the glow and the warmth of the fires you lit.

Of Love and of Light you were born for this land.
Sing the Sweet song, the Song of Turand.

As our universe marches through curtains of time,
And our world soars through the vastness of space,
Forever my love will remain yours alone,
My soul now conquered by your beautiful face.

As the oceans eternally embrace the shore
And the far-flung horizon kisses limitless skies
So shall I cherish the smiles that you gave
Forever and longer, I’ll adore your emerald eyes.

Of Love and of Light you were born for this land.
Sing the Sweet song, the Song of Turand.

I pray in Thanksgiving that you are made mine.
To be source of my strength sprung from your love,
For your song dispelling those years of my grief
My prayer do I send to our God above.

Together we fought to restore freedom and peace
To defend life so precious, so no more would be killed.
Now our people cry out with joyous release
For your faith was my guide, your wisdom my shield.

Of Love and of Light you were born for this land.
Sing the Sweet song, our Song of Turand.

My love, you exceed bound’ries measured in time.
The soul that you are and ever shall be
Will give wings to my heart and flight to my being
And our love so wondrous will soar gloriously free.

Forever reveling in the fragrance of spring
Beneath golden sun we will walk hand in hand.
Together at last by the warm flowing waters
Our souls bound as one, for you are my Sweet Song of Turand
