Poem One
Believe, my children, believe in me.
As darkness your hearts pierces,
Though evils your souls torture,
And troubles and turmoil bewilder,
My children, my children, have faith in me.
Into your midst, tormenters dare come,
Pain and hardship with them they bring,
With sorrows deep to sorely grieve you.
Falter you will, from all that is lost.
Your eyes will weep.
Your hearts will ache.
Alone you will feel each day that you face
As departure from faith reveals its cost.
But, believe, my children, believe in me.
Hold tight to your faith and hold it close.
For if you do, my comfort Ill send
But you must, my children, believe in me.
Set your eyes straight ahead,
Your path do not lose.
Lift high your heads,
Firm in your belief.
Breathe deeply of courage,
Nerves do not quiver,
For mighty are you
When your God you choose.
My children, my children, have faith in me.
My signs shall I send as light to guide you.
Into your experience My help Ill dispatch
Seek the lessons they bear,
Acknowledge my presence,
Accept so that, too, peace will come.
Allow me to hold you,
Your lives in my hands,
Trust in my love,
Let me speak to your spirits,
For to the greatest of loves
I promise to bear you.
Remember, my children, each child I love dearly.
Your love I ask, not only for me,
But for those gathered round you
And through love you will conquer,
My peace shall I give you,
Great joy you'll discover,
But first, my children, believe in me...
